You Can't Catch Me Mini-site & Wallpapers
Victor Ent. / flying dog has been busy updating Maaya's official site over the past couple weeks. Last week, they posted a mini-site for You Can't Catch Me which includes the usual content (track listing, liner notes, etc.). They recently also uploaded a "special" 15th anniversary puzzle. Solving the puzzle gives you access to two wallpapers for You Can't Catch Me. If you are like me and don't enjoy these types of puzzles, here's a direct link to the wallpapers.

You Can't Catch Me - Full Himitsu PV
If the commercial that Victor Ent. / flying dog released about as week ago wasn't enough to satisfy you, well then you are in luck because they uploaded the full promo video for "Himitsu" to Youtube. Check it out below and I think you'll agree that it's absolutely gorgeous in every aspect (the song, the visuals and of course Maaya).

I don't know about other Maaya fans, but it feels like Christmas came early for me. I totally love this song, maybe even addicted to it. If the PV isn't enough motivation to buy Maaya's new album, then I don't what is. Anyways, here are the CD Japan links again if you haven't preordered You Can't Catch Me yet.

You Can't Catch Me Commercial
Victor Ent. / flying dog uploaded a commercial for You Can't Catch Me on their Youtube channel. The commercial is actually a clip from a PV for the song "Himitsu". More details on the full PV are supposed to be announced soon. It would be nice if the limited edition of the album included this new PV, but that is highly unlikely. I've embedded the Youtube video below. Enjoy watching Maaya sing to her clone.

You Can't Catch Me Sample Clips
Victor Ent. / flying dog posted sample clips of Maaya's upcoming 7th album on her official web site. The cover art for the regular and limited editions are also on the site. The samples are in Windows streaming media format. I've converted and uploaded the clips in Flash for people that prefer that format. I've also updated my previous post with the exact order of the track list.

7th Album Title - You Can't Catch Me
As announced on Maaya's web site, the title of her upcoming album is "You Can't Catch Me". Victor Ent. also posted the names of 3 more tracks, which are "Kimi no sei", "Zero to ichi" and "Miraichizu". These songs are produced by different musicians, and are all different from the ones posted last week.

On a different topic, today is the release date for Maaya's cover single. CD Japan shipped my copy already and I should be receiving it soon.

Upcoming N. American Anime Releases
Occasionally I post about upcoming Maaya related anime video releases. North American fans may be interested in the following dvds & blu-rays. Section 23 / Sentai Filmworks (formerly known as ADV) is releasing Canaan in a complete set later this month on 10/26. In January next year, Funimation is releasing the first half of Black Butler (aka Kuroshitsuji) season 1 on dvd. Also noteworthy is that during the summer Funimation announced they licensed the Trigun Movie, and will be releasing it sometime in 2011. Here are some preorder links through my favorite online anime store, Righstuf.com. I'm hoping one of the N. American anime companies licenses the Kara no Kyoukai (Garden of Sinners) movies. The only way to get them on dvd is by importing the Japanese releases. There is also a blu-ray boxset coming out in Japan, but it's very expensive.

On a side note, CD Japan has Maaya's Everywhere best album on sale for 30% off. If you haven't bought it yet, this is a pretty good price on the cd.

7th Album out in January 2011
A couple days ago, Victor Ent. / flying dog updated Maaya's official site with news about a new full length album coming out next year. The release date is January 12, 2011, almost exactly two years after the release of Maaya's previous album Kazeyomi. Maaya will also be performing a Japan concert tour next year in March.

If you haven't noticed already, Victor Ent. also posted a mini-site for the upcoming cover single. The usual content is on there including track list, sample clips and interview.

Down Town Promo Video,
Kanashikute Yarikirenai Sample Clip

The PV for Maaya's cover version of Down Town recently started airing on Japanese TV, and as usual someone captured and uploaded the video to the internet. Maaya is more glamorous / sensual in this video compared to her previous PVs, but looks like she and the musicians had a lot of fun making it. If the embedded video below doesn't work for you, here's same clip on Youtube.

On a related note, Victor Ent / flying dog recently posted sample clips of the upcoming cover single, including the 3rd track Kanashikute Yarikirenai. The original song was performed by a Japanese band called The Folk Crusaders back in 1968. I like this cover the most out of the three on Maaya's single. Here's a clip of the original song on Youtube.

Cover Single Radio Clips
On the latest episode of Maaya's Vitamin M radio show, clips of her covers of Down Town and Yasashisa ni tsutsumareta nara were played. Someone recorded and posted the episode on nicosound. I've cropped out the two clips and posted them below.
